Sam Matchett

Sam Matchett is an experienced Learning and Development (L&D) professional with a robust background in training program development and implementation. Currently serving as L&D Manager at Smiths News since April 2022, Sam previously held the same title at Lifetime Training from August 2016 to April 2022. Prior to that, Sam worked at Marston's PLC for over two decades, progressing through several roles, including HR Business Partner - People Development, Management Development Manager, Openings and Team Member Development Manager, and Regional Trainer. Responsibilities included developing training programs, supporting critical operational roles, managing a Graduate Program, and overseeing recognition initiatives. Sam holds a BSc in Health Studies, Psychology, and Human Biology from the University of Wolverhampton.
