Sara Snyder

Sara Snyder currently serves as the Director of Digital Programs in the Office of Digital Transformation at the Smithsonian Institution, leading priority digital initiatives and collaborating with various museums and research units. Prior to this role, Sara held multiple positions at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, including Head of External Affairs and Digital Strategies, where responsibilities included overseeing technological innovation, content strategy, and public engagement. Sara also served as Chief of Media & Technology, developing digital strategies for the museum, and held positions focused on web and social media management. Sara's early career includes experience at the University of Maryland Libraries and a graduate assistantship in web services. Sara holds a Master of Library and Information Science and a Master of Arts in American History from the University of Maryland, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Literature/Writing from UC San Diego.
