Colette Wessels

Colette Wessels has a strong background in learning and development and human resources. Colette currently holds the position of Head of Learning and Development at Smollan, where they have been since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an HR Director at Imperial Health Sciences from September 2016 to February 2020. In this role, they were responsible for formulating the organization's people strategy and delivering HR services. Colette also managed labor relations in a highly unionized environment. Before their time at Imperial Health Sciences, Colette worked at Imperial Logistics from June 2007 to August 2016. During their tenure, they conceptualized and implemented the company's learning and development framework, established the Imperial Logistics Academy, and ensured compliance with skills development requirements for the group.

Colette Wessels completed their Executive Development program in Leadership at GIBS Business School in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained an Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Johannesburg from 1990 to 1993.
