Lewis R. Smoot Jr. has extensive experience in the construction industry, serving as CEO and President of Smoot Construction since November 1980, and holding various titles within the organization. Prior to this leadership role, Lewis served as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy from 1976 to 1980, specializing as a Senior Corpsman in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Navy Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. Educationally, Lewis earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technologies from The Ohio State University and holds multiple associate degrees in Finance and Construction Management from Columbus State Community College, as well as a program completion from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
