Michael Tan

Michael Tan has been in the tech industry since 2010. Michael began their career as the Founder of UbiqPay Pte Ltd, a full-service system integration company. In 2012, they took on the role of Joint CEO of Beijing Perfect Vision Media Group, a multi-platform media company, and President Asia Pacific of Phicomm, a R&D driven manufacturer of Networking and Communication products. In 2013, they became the Group Managing Director of Shopster Holdings Pte Ltd. In 2015, they Co-Founded Zap Delivery Pte Ltd, an urban logistic service providing corporate and retail users with fast and reliable courier service. In 2018, they Co-Founded Transit Protocol and QashBack Pte Ltd. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Co-Founder of Smoove Xperience and in 2021, they became a Mentor at 500 Startups.

Michael Tan has a diverse educational background. Michael attended Maris Stella High School from 1982 to 1985, then Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University from 2000 to 2002, where they completed a post-graduate degree in Business Management. Michael then attended Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2014 to 2015, where they completed a CEO Executive Program in Business Administration and Management. In 2015, they completed an Executive Programme in Business Administration and Management at Stanford University. Finally, they completed an Executive Programme in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2017.
