James Worland

James Worland is a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer with over 15 years of experience in mechanical design utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks, adept in creating detailed drawings, large layouts, assembly drawings, bills of material, GD&T, and managing engineering change orders. Currently employed at SMP Engineering Inc since January 2018, James has also contributed as a Mechanical Engineer at Worland Guitars since 2001. Prior experience includes a role at Turnkey Automation from 1988 to 2001, where James designed and maintained custom automated machinery for various applications, integrating robots and vision systems into assembly lines. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is proficient in MS Office, having developed several spreadsheets for effective labor and cost tracking.
