Olena Walton

Olena Walton is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in managing financial operations and leading teams. Currently serving as a Senior Accountant at SMRT Architects and Engineers since September 2022, Olena oversees bi-weekly payroll, billing, cash receipts, and accounts management. Prior experience includes a tenure at Catholic Charities Maine from May 2015 to September 2022, where roles ranged from Accounting Manager, responsible for comprehensive accounting operations, to Staff Accountant, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. Olena also held various positions, including Grant Accountant and Quality and Compliance Specialist, offering a well-rounded background in accounting and financial reporting. Educational qualifications include an Advanced Certification in Accounting from the University of Southern Maine and dual Master’s degrees in Accounting and Audit, and Entrepreneurship from Ukrainian universities.
