Jason DeRienzo began their work experience in 1991 as a Customer Account Coordinator at James River (Georgia Pacific). Jason then held positions at BIC as a Manager of Sales Planning and at ACNielsen as a Business Development Manager. In 1998, they became a Senior Manager of Category Development at Castrol North America (BP/AMOCO), followed by a role as Director of e-Commerce and Industry Tracking at NPD in 1999. From 2000 to 2005, Jason worked as a VP of Sales at Interactive Edge. In 2005, they joined SMSB Consulting Group as EVP of Sales, where they were responsible for all Sales and Marketing aspects of the company. During their tenure, revenue increased by more than 50%, and notable clients, including Coke, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Walmart, and Kroger, were brought on board. In 2018, they became the President of SMSB Consulting Group, where they helped retailers and consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers improve their efficiency and effectiveness through digital product content and planogram services. Jason is currently the CEO and President of SMSB Consulting Group. In 2021, they also took on the role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Vision Group Inc.
Jason DeRienzo completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management and Marketing from Western Connecticut State University, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications from LinkedIn in topics such as sales questions, Microsoft Power BI Desktop, content marketing, customer service, career planning, employer branding, project management, and social selling. Their most recent certification was in April 2020.
