Megan Cornell

Megan Cornell has a diverse background in sports management and operations. Megan is currently working as the Senior Director and Head Coach Operations for the SMU Mustangs since February 2023. Previously, they served as the Director of External Relations for Football at SMU Mustangs from January 2022 to February 2023. Before joining SMU, they worked at the Las Vegas Raiders as the Manager of Corporate Partnerships Activation from February 2021 to January 2022, and as the Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships Activation from December 2018 to February 2021. Prior to that, they gained experience with the Texas Rangers Baseball Club, where they worked as a Coordinator of Client Services from June 2016 to December 2018, and as an Intern in Business Partnerships from January 2016 to June 2016. Megan also had the opportunity to work with the Auburn Athletics Department, where they held various roles including Event Management Intern, Office of the Athletics Director Student Assistant, Player Development Student Assistant, On-Campus Recruiting Student Assistant, and Athletics Communications Student Assistant. Megan also had an internship with the Arkansas Travelers Baseball Club in the Front Office. Overall, Megan's experience spans across different aspects of sports management, including partnerships, operations, and event management.

Megan Cornell completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication at Auburn University from 2011 to 2015. Megan then pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management at Southern Methodist University from 2015 to 2016.
