Brian Howell

Brian Howell, MBA, serves as a Board Member for Travis Credit Union since February 2020, focusing on financial wellness and strategic growth initiatives. With extensive experience at SMUD since November 2011, Brian holds the position of Business Unit Planning Coordinator, serving as a liaison to the CFO and various executive teams while also acting as an Enterprise Performance Consultant overseeing project portfolios and process improvements. Previous roles include supervisory and planning positions at Pacific Gas & Electric and PMI Mortgage Insurance Co., as well as a Financial Analyst at Chevron. Brian began a professional career with diverse roles in accounting and finance, including experience as an intern at Ueltzen & Co, LLP and as a Public Works Accountant for the City of Vacaville. Brian holds an MBA in Finance and Management from Saint Mary's College of California and a BS in Accounting from California State University-Sacramento.
