Jacob Peterson

Jacob Peterson, CIH, CSP, currently serves as Supervisor of Health and Safety Services at SMUD, where a progressive career has included roles as Safety Specialist III and II since September 2017. Previous experience encompasses positions as Occupational Safety Specialist at California State University-Sacramento and Associate Industrial Hygienist at Network Environmental Systems, Inc. Additionally, Jacob has worked as Industrial Hygienist II at Occupational Services, Inc., where responsibility included managing Environmental Health & Safety Programs in biotechnology and life sciences. Early career roles include Fire Safety Technician at BYU-Idaho and Student Intern with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where contributions involved safety training, inspections, and industrial hygiene sampling. Jacob holds a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene from Montana Technological University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with an emphasis on Occupational Health and Safety from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
