Carmen Shelly

Carmen Shelly is the Staff Executive to the CEO of SMX. As part of the executive team, she works to implement the corporate vision, achieve annual goals, and remain future-focused on organizational growth. She also facilitates interdepartmental collaboration on strategic initiatives and provides business integration oversight. Carmen organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information to accelerate efficient decision-making and support dynamic taskings. She also collaborates with the Executive Leadership Team on strategies and initiatives to ensure business unit efforts are synchronized in line with the CEO’s vision.

Carmen brings to the position more than 15 years of experience in the intelligence and defense communities. Previously she was SMX’s Deputy Program Manager for the Monitoring, Analysis, Reconnaissance, Logistics, Intelligence, and Network Services (MARLINS) Task Order where she provided operational support and daily oversight to the United States Southern Command’s C5ISR mission and supported its component commands and strategic and operational partners. She also supported SMX client site customers as a senior business analyst.
