John Slawson

John Slawson has a vast and impressive work experience in the transportation industry. John served as the Vice President of Sales & Business Development at Smyrna Truck & Cargo starting from January 2023. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer at Rosenbauer America, where they led the company to great profitability during the Covid-19 pandemic. John also served as the President at Spartan Motors, Inc., where they had full P&L responsibility and successfully executed an operational excellence strategy. Before that, they held the position of President/CEO at Horton Emergency Vehicles and President at US Tanker LLC, where they implemented lean processes and transformed the companies. Lastly, they were the President of Oshkosh Specialty Vehicles at Oshkosh Corporation, where they utilized various lean tools to turn the organization into a high-performance team.

John Slawson has an MBA degree in Business from Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago. John also holds a Bachelor's degree from Marquette University.
