About Smyth Studio

Smyth Studio is an award-winning, Indigenous-owned creative agency helping government, defence, and businesses bring their stories to life through art and strategy.

We specialise in branding, Indigenous digital and fine art, website design, and visual communications — creating culturally grounded and innovative solutions that inspire change.

Founded by Creative Director Jay Hobbs, a proud Kuku Yalanji and Erub/Meriam Mir descendant, Smyth Studio blends over a decade of design expertise with a deep respect for culture and community. Our work is trusted by national organisations and government departments, and we are both Supply Nation Certified and hold Australian Government Baseline security clearance.

At Smyth Studio, we believe positive change starts with creativity. That’s why we partner with clients who share our commitment to making a difference, delivering design that doesn’t just look good — it moves people, builds trust, and drives impact.
