Andrea Chittaro

Andrea Chittaro has extensive work experience spanning several companies and organizations. Andrea began their career with the Arma dei Carabinieri, where they served as a Tenente Colonnello in spe for 24 years, from 1986 to 2010. After their time with the Carabinieri, they joined Snam, a major European gas company, where they held various roles in the Security Department. From 2010 to 2011, they served as the Head of Security and Business Continuity, and from 2012 to 2018, they held the position of Head of Security Department. Since 2018, they have been the Executive Director of Global Security & Cyber Defence at Snam, leading the department and focusing on an integrated approach to security risk management. Additionally, they have held positions in various organizations, including serving as the Chairman of the Board for AIPSA Associazione Italiana Professionisti Security Aziendale from 2018 to 2022 and as a member of the Advisory Board for OSINTITALIA, Associazione di Promozione Sociale since 2021. Andrea is also a member of the Technical Scientific Committee for Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale and the Chairman of the Security Study Group for Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE). Andrea Chittaro has also contributed to the academic field as a member of the Scientific Committee for the Master in Homeland Security at Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.

Andrea Chittaro holds a Laurea in Scienze dell'Amministrazione from Università di Catania. Additionally, Andrea has obtained certifications including Senior Security Manager UNI10459/2015 from CEPAS and Giornalista Pubblicista from Ordine Nazionale Dei Giornalisti.
