Joel Connett is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and user interface design, currently serving as Engineering Director for Smart Device Software at Snap One since August 2019. Previously, Joel held various leadership roles at Control4 for a decade, directing teams responsible for innovative smart home technologies, including the award-winning Smart Home OS 3. Joel’s career began with roles at Heritage Makers, uGenius, Campus Life Web Consulting, Brigham Young University, and the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research, where contributions spanned diverse areas such as image server architecture, banking technology, and multilingual application development.
