Chief Operating Officer at Snap Vision

Mark Hasslacher has had a long and varied career in the technology industry. Mark has held positions at Snap Vision, Thales, EADS Astrium, and BAE Systems.

At Snap Vision, Mark held the position of Chief Operating Officer from 2015 to the present. In this role, they are responsible for harnessing the power of AI and visual search solutions to make product discovery easier both online and in the real world.

From 2008 to 2015, Mark worked at Thales in three different roles. As Portfolio and Operations Manager, Thales Consulting and Cyber Security Services, they worked with the responsible VP to transform and grow the company\u2019s Cyber Security & Consulting business. As Portfolio Manager, Cyber Security, they were responsible for leading the development, realisation and implementation of Thales’ Cyber Strategy in the UK. As Programme Manager, Strategic Programmes, their primary responsibility was as Programme Manager on a highly complex and cutting edge technology programme.

From 2005 to 2008, Mark worked at EADS Astrium as Security Team Lead, Galileo Satellite Navigation. In this role, they were responsible for delivery of technical and operational security aspects relating to the design, build and operation of the system.

From 2000 to 2005, Mark worked at BAE Systems as Senior Supportability Engineer. Mark progressed in this role to become responsible for management and leadership of Reliability and Functional Safety tasks over a number of programmes at differing stages of the project lifecycle.

Mark Hasslacher received their MEng (Hons) in Engineering and Management from the University of Exeter between 1995 and 1999. Mark then went on to obtain a Certificate in Management from Lancaster University between 2002 and 2003. Mark's educational journey began at Canford School, which they attended from 1990 to 1995. In addition, they hold an IPMA APM - Certified Senior Project Manager (IPMA Level B) from the International Project Management Association, which they obtained in December 2012.
