Jay Li is a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Snap Inc. since May 2016, where significant contributions include building foundational infrastructures for content ranking and establishing retrieval and creator ranking teams. Prior to this role, Jay served as a Software Engineer in Search Ranking at Google from September 2013 to May 2016, developing ranking components for Google’s top stories and instant news, as well as a user interests service based on the SuperRoot framework for NowOnTap. Earlier experience includes an internship as a Software Engineer at Microsoft in mid-2012. Jay holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Sun Yat-sen University, completed in 2013, as well as a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same university, earned in 2011.
