John Rask

John Rask is a highly experienced electrical engineer with a robust background in FPGA and ASIC design. Currently serving as a Staff Design Engineer at Snap Inc. since January 2022, Rask has also held the position of Senior Electrical Engineer at Compound Photonics since July 2016, focusing on circuit design in ASICs and FPGAs. Prior to these roles, Rask worked at Harmonic, Inc., where responsibilities included leading FPGA design teams and developing design methodologies, alongside significant contributions to custom circuit design for the video industry. With a foundational career beginning at LTX-Credence, Rask has amassed extensive expertise in ASIC and FPGA development, backed by a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Oregon Health & Science University and a BSEE from Lafayette College.
