Sushma Shende

Programme Director, Child Health & Nutrition at SNEHA

Sushma heads SNEHA’s Child Health and Nutrition programs. She is an anthropologist by training and has over 20 years of experience in public health projects across tribal, rural and urban settings. Sushma has expertise in working with health systems and developing and implementing private-public partnerships. Before heading the CHN programs, Sushma was Programme Director of SNEHA’s Maternal and Newborn Health programs, working with several marquee donors such as WHO, CRY and IDFC Foundation to deliver programs and research studies across the MMRDA region. In 2013, she was a mentor for the Maternal Health Young Champions Programme, a fellowship run by the Institute of International Education and Harvard School of Public Health. Sushma has also published her research in leading public health international and national journals.
