Stefán Baxter

Stefán Baxter is an experienced entrepreneur and technology leader, serving as the Founder and CEO of Smart Data Inc. since May 2018, which owns the Quick Lookup platform. Since January 2006, Stefán has also served as the Founder and Investor of Tæknikollur ehf., a small private equity vehicle. Previous roles include Founder and CTO at Activity Stream (Flaumur ehf.) from February 2013 to January 2018, Mgr. of Online Services at VÍS Insurance Ltd from October 2009 to February 2013, and CTO at Industria from January 2007 to April 2009. Stefán founded and led Hugsmiðjan from January 2001 to January 2007 and Gæðamiðlun from May 1997 to October 2000, both as CEO. Additionally, Stefán established Blazon from May 1995 to April 1997, and began a career in software development at OZ and BH - Commercial Traffic & Billing Software, which spanned from 1988 to 1995.
