Rob McManis has over three decades of experience in the utility and engineering sectors, currently serving as Senior Executive Account Manager at Snohomish County PUD since July 1994. Previous roles at Snohomish County PUD include Sr. Manager of Safety, Sr. Manager of Safety and Line Training, Sr. Manager of System Operations, Construction Superintendent, Distribution Services Manager - Engineering, Lead Assistant Engineer, and Sr. Customer Engineer. Prior to this, Rob worked at Virginia Power (now Dominion Energy) as a Customer Service Representative in Engineering from February 1990 to July 1994. Snohomish County PUD
Snohomish County PUD began operating as an electric utility on September 1, 1949, providing public power to Snohomish County and Camano Island. (We actually began as a water utility on January 17, 1946, but we don’t provide water service to the entire county.) Snohomish County PUD is a municipal corporation of the state of Washington, formed by a majority vote of the people for the purpose of providing electric and/or water utility service. There are 27 other PUDs in Washington, but we are the largest. We are the 12th largest public utility in the U.S. and the second largest in Washington state, serving the 875,000 citizens of Snohomish County and Camano Island and the businesses that keep them thriving. The PUD’s service area consists of 2,200 square miles, including all of Snohomish County and Camano Island. The utility maintains more than 6,300 miles of distribution line.
