Tony Harding

Tony Harding has held various roles in software development and engineering throughout their career.

Tony'smost recent position is as a Senior Platform Engineer at Snoop, a company they joined in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Aviva for five years, starting in May 2016. There, they served as a Software Architect, utilizing technologies such as C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Blazor, AWS, Azure, Azure DevOps, Git, SQL Server, and ASP MVC.

Before Aviva, Tony worked at Sunquest Information Systems (Europe) Ltd for two years, starting in October 2014. In this role as a Senior Software Engineer, they played a significant role in architecting a Responsive Single Page Mobile Application (SPA) using AngularJS, Web API REST services, and SQL Server. This application was designed to be used nationally by medical and clerical staff across all NHS Trusts.

Earlier in their career, Tony worked at BGO Entertainment as a Software Developer, where they focused on backend Remote Gaming Server (RGS) development using .NET 4.5 technologies and SQL Server 2014. Prior to that, they were employed at Evander as a Senior Developer, responsible for designing and developing a Mobile/PDA based solution using .NET technologies and SQL Server 2008.

Tony's career began at Shoprite/Checkers, where they worked briefly as a Junior Developer in 1996. Tony then moved on to Old Mutual as a Software Developer, working on IBM Mainframe applications using CICS/COBOL with DB2 and VSAM databases from 1997 to 1998.

In addition to their extensive work experience, Tony also has experience in mentoring and training peers, gathering requirements, and implementing enhancements and upgrades to existing systems. Overall, they possess a diverse skill set and a wealth of knowledge in various technologies and development methodologies.

Tony Harding completed their education at Pinelands High School from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a High School degree. In 1996, they attended WS&L Training Pty Ltd and pursued an International Diploma in Computer Programming. Additionally, Tony has obtained certifications, including Building and Securing RESTful APIs in ASP.NET Core from LinkedIn in August 2021 and MCSD.NET from Microsoft in 2002.
