Nick Russill

Nick Russill has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Nick is currently serving as an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Exeter, where they have been involved in working with university startups, mentoring undergraduates, and introducing technical innovations to equip students with real-life skills. Prior to this, Nick was a Member of the Board of Trustees at The Mullany Fund.

Nick is also the Director/Founder of TerraDat UK Ltd., a specialist mapping company that provides 3-D information about the subsurface and above-ground environments using advanced geophysical, geological, geomatic, and geotechnical techniques. Additionally, they serve as an Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University, where they share TerraDat's innovations in geophysical mapping and 3D Reality Capture and offers students research opportunities, lectures, and work experience.

Nick is the Director and Co-founder of Snow-Forecast.com, a popular website for snow sports enthusiasts that provides weather forecasts, snow conditions, and resort information. Nick has also worked for The Royal Society as a Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence, supporting and inspiring students in their entrepreneurial journey and bridging the gap between academia and industry.

In the past, Nick was the CEO of Landtech Geophysics Ltd., pioneering the use of Passive Seismic Tomography for oil and gas exploration. Nick has also been involved in BIM Surveys Ltd., where they served as a Director and utilized 3D laser scanning technology to produce accurate models of buildings. Furthermore, Nick volunteered as an Ambulance First Responder at the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust and co-founded Terralogic, a company that offers rugged IT solutions to the military and public sectors.

Nick Russill attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 1988 to 1992. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science with Honors degree in Exploration & Mining Geology.
