Changbin Song is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Director of Engineering for the SQL team at Snowflake since April 2024. Prior to this role, Changbin held multiple key positions at SAP from November 2014 to March 2024, including Vice President of SAP HANA Database & Analytics, where responsibilities included leading the SAP HANA Core team across Germany, Korea, and China. Additionally, Changbin served as Managing Director of SAP Labs Korea and Vice President of SAP HANA, focusing on development leadership in Seoul and HCMC. Earlier in the career, Changbin was a Development Manager at Transact In Memory, Inc., contributing as a founding member of P*TIME, an in-memory DBMS pivotal to the development of SAP HANA. Academically, Changbin earned both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University.
