Stas Bekman

Stas Bekman is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer specializing in large language models (LLMs) and multi-modal model training. They have previously held positions as Director of R&D at MailChannels, Lead Developer of the mod_perl module at the Apache Software Foundation, and contributed significantly to various open-source projects. With a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Technion and a background in software development at Intel, Stas has been instrumental in training high-capacity models, including the 176B-parameter BLOOM model at Hugging Face. Currently, they also consult on machine learning, helping organizations optimize their training and inference processes.
