Marcy McGinnis

Marcy McGinnis is a seasoned leadership and communication coach with extensive experience in media and journalism. Currently serving as a Leadership Coach at the Poynter Institute and co-founding EXACT Communication in New York, Marcy specializes in helping individuals enhance their communication skills through interactive workshops. Previous roles include being a Global Faculty Coach at SNP Communications, Associate Dean at Stony Brook University's School of Journalism, and Senior Vice President of News Coverage at CBS News, where Marcy managed significant newsgathering operations and corporate outreach initiatives. Marcy has also contributed to prestigious educational institutions, developing journalism programs and centers focused on news literacy and science communication. Educational credentials include a BS in History from SUNY Empire State College and several honorary doctorates.
