Albert Vliegenthart

Albert Vliegenthart is an experienced ecologist and program manager with a strong focus on biodiversity and ecological awareness. Since August 2007, Albert has worked at De Vlinderstichting, leading various initiatives including the development of the Onder het Maaiveld program, which aims to promote healthy soil and citizen science. Albert has also played a key role in the Deltaplan Biodiversity Recovery and has managed projects connecting biodiversity to infrastructure management. In addition to ecological consultancy, Albert is an accomplished author, having published works on creating gardens for bees and butterflies, as well as co-authoring multiple guidebooks on nature in various European regions. Experience as a tour leader specializing in butterfly tours across Europe and involvement with editorial tasks at De Levende Natuur further highlight Albert's dedication to promoting biodiversity and environmental education.
