Marco de Graaff

Marco de Graaff is an experienced professional with a diverse background in water technology, leadership development, and environmental sciences. Currently serving as a Facilitator at MINDSHIFT ITN programme with The Recess College, Marco facilitates workshops for PhD researchers on personal-professional development. As a Co-Founder of Nautic Waterloo B.V., Marco has contributed to innovative technology for onboard toilet water treatment. In the role of Chief Program Officer at The Aqua Nirvana Foundation, Marco manages strategic direction and communication efforts while leading impactful initiatives. Marco's consultancy work spans various organizations, providing expertise in water systems and sanitation models. Previous positions include Program Manager at Wetsus, where Marco enhanced educational programs, and as a PhD researcher at Wageningen University, where an innovative bio-based water treatment technology was developed. Educational achievements include an MSc in Marine Biology from the University of Groningen and professional training in communication and coaching.
