Pieter Visser

Pieter Visser is an experienced project manager and agriculture/value chain advisor, currently serving at SNV since September 2020, focusing on a COVID-19 response and resilience project involving multiple initiatives across Africa. Previously, Pieter held the position of Team Leader for Agribusiness and Value Chain at the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) from March 2018 to August 2020, leading a team dedicated to enhancing agribusiness and youth entrepreneurship. Pieter's early tenure at SNV included significant roles such as Team Leader for various projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Nepal, managing large teams and focusing on sustainable value chain development. Pieter's career also includes experience as a Programme Officer at Oxfam Novib. Education includes a Master of Science in Agronomy from Wageningen University & Research and a Post Graduate Diploma in Agribusiness for Development from the University of London.
