Soane Technologies is led by its founder, Dr. David Soane. Dr. Soane is a serial entrepreneur and prolific innovator in the fields of advanced materials, polymer chemistry, and surface science. Soane Technologies is financially backed by a leading private equity fund devoted to decarbonization and sustainability.

Soane Technologies includes Carbogenesis and Soane Materials, described below:

Carbogenesis LLC efficiently converts CO2 into high-value chemicals, recycling this important greenhouse gas while decarbonizing the chemical industry.

The proprietary Carbogenesis plasma technology converts the potent greenhouse gas CO2 into high-value chemicals in an energy-efficient manner. Energized by our plasma, CO2 becomes activated so that it rapidly and quantitatively reacts with selected co-reactants. When coupled with key industrial processes, our innovative technology holds the promise of replacing traditional polluting practices with carbon-neutral ones. Our breakthrough technology thus offers an economical and eco-friendly avenue towards decarbonization.

Soane Materials LLC reduces conventional single-use plastic products with plant-based, biodegradable alternatives that have the same performance – or better – to shrink the carbon footprint of everyday items.

Soane Materials LLC mobilizes polymer science and nanomaterials technology to create novel, sustainable, biomass-based replacements for the petroleum-derived plastics that congest our waste facilities, infiltrate our water supply, and pollute our oceans. Our products are drop-in alternatives to “forever” plastics with comparable performance, lower cost, and significantly less environmental impact. Using our biodegradable, eco-friendly products, consumers can continue to enjoy familiar (and maybe even better) convenience associated with conventional, plastics-based incumbents, while avoiding the damage that they cause to the world around us.
