Cormac Phelan

Cormac Phelan is an accomplished software engineering professional with extensive experience in developing and integrating software solutions, particularly in the areas of audio data processing and machine learning. Currently serving as Head of Engineering at SoapBox Labs since June 2020, Cormac has held roles ranging from Technical Lead to Senior Software Engineer. Prior to this, positions at Voysis included Senior Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed creating microservice APIs with Python/Flask, managing data layers with MongoDB, and developing pipeline architectures for AI/ML model training. Cormac's background also includes significant contributions to Fender Musical Instruments Corporation and Riffstation, focusing on software design and audio processing. With an M.Sc. in DSP Software Development and a BA in Computer Science and Music from University College Dublin, Cormac combines technical expertise with a strong educational foundation.
