Lora Lynn O'Mahony

Lora Lynn O'Mahony is an accomplished computational linguist with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as Principal Computational Linguist at SoapBox Labs since June 2020, Lora has held various roles at the company, including Senior and Computational Linguist. Prior experience includes work as a Linguistic Engineer at Voysis, where Lora led the modeling team for the company's first commercial deployment in North America and was involved in projects across retail, government, and QSR sectors. Additional roles include Research Assistant positions at the University of Nevada Reno and Kwansei Gakuin University, focusing on innovative natural language generation techniques and psycholinguistics. Participation in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) as an Assistant Language Teacher further highlights Lora's dedication to promoting cultural exchange. Lora holds a Master of Science in Speech and Language Processing from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in English - Linguistics & Language from the University of Nevada, Reno.
