Douglas Marks

Douglas Marks has a diverse work experience in the field of proposal management and development. Douglas is currently working as the Director of Proposals at Kratos Space, Training, & Cybersecurity since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Proposal Manager at Soar Technology, Inc. from December 2020 onwards, where they managed the development and production of approximately 150 proposals annually in the AI, Machine Learning, and Training sector.

Before joining Soar Technology, Inc., Douglas worked at Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems for a period of 14 years, from August 2006 to August 2020. In this role, they led the development and production of new-business captures in the training, simulation, and logistics areas, catering to both DoD and international customers.

Douglas also has entrepreneurial experience, having owned and worked as the Principal Consultant at Pinnacle Communication Services from 1990 to 2006. Additionally, they served as the Manager of Proposal Operations at Martin Marietta ADTO from 1988 to 1990, and as a Proposal Specialist at Martin Marietta Orlando Aerospace from 1982 to 1988.

Throughout their career, Douglas Marks has gained extensive expertise in proposal process maturation, codification of tools and procedures, knowledge management infrastructure, and status reporting. Douglas has consistently demonstrated their ability to craft responsive, compliant, and compelling proposals, working closely with technical and business staff.

Douglas Marks pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Central Florida from 1977 to 1982.
