Lesley Rusnak, CHRL has a strong background in human resources, with experience in various roles and industries. Lesley is currently the Director of People and Change Leadership at SOCAN, where they lead the HR team in delivering HR services and programs to support the company's vision. Previously, they served as the Director of Human Resources at AlarmForce Industries Inc., where they were responsible for strategic HR development and management across North America. Lesley also held positions at Ceridian, Invesco Canada Ltd., Carlson Marketing Canada, and Bata Group, where they gained experience in HR consulting, business partnership, employee relations, talent acquisition, and more. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their ability to drive cultural transformation and implement effective HR practices and programs.
Lesley Rusnak, CHRL completed their education in a chronological order, starting with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from York University. Lesley attended York University from 1997 to 2000. Following that, Lesley pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Seneca Polytechnic, where they studied from 2000 to 2001.
In terms of additional certifications, Lesley obtained the CHRL (Certified Human Resources Leader) designation from HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association in May 2005. Lesley also completed the Pension Plans Certification Program from HRPA in October 2020. As for recent certifications, Lesley completed the Workplace Mental Health Leadership Certificate Program from Queen's University in September 2022.
