Shahin Ismayilbayli

Shahin Ismayilbayli has extensive experience in legal and compliance roles, primarily at the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) since May 2008, where Shahin serves as Deputy Vice President (Legal & Compliance) and Director of the Corporate Governance Center. Responsibilities include developing corporate governance frameworks, managing shareholder relations, and overseeing legal compliance across SOCAR Group. Shahin has also held positions such as Deputy Director of the Corporate Governance Center and Head of the Strategic Development Department, where the focus was on implementing corporate strategies and initiatives including energy transition and digitalization. With a legal background that includes negotiation, joint ventures, and international arbitration, Shahin also holds board positions at multiple organizations, including SOCAR Türkiye and Caspian Geophysical LLC. Educational qualifications include dual MBA degrees from Maastricht School of Management and ADA University, as well as a bachelor's degree in Law from The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic.
