Robert Munson

Robert Munson has over two decades of experience in communications and marketing, including extensive work in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Robert is currently the President at Social Capital Markets, and previously held the position of Head of Communications and Marketing at Louisiana State University. In this role, they were responsible for leading unprecedented brand growth and managing a staff of 35+ individuals in marketing, communications, social media, and creative content divisions.

Prior to their work at Louisiana State University, Munson was a Senior Advisor at Sanderson Strategies Group, a national communications firm in Washington, DC. In this role, they provided decision-maker strategies for business, advocacy, and entertainment clients, including reputation management consulting, strategic planning, media and content development, video and television strategy, and press and editorial relations.

Munson has a proven track record of success in communications and marketing, with a focus on strategic planning, content creation, social media engagement, public relations, and digital marketing. Robert is an expert in brand management and has a deep understanding of the customer experience. Their work has been recognized by the Sports Business Journal as “Best In Sports Social Media” besting Major League Baseball and Bleacher Report.

Robert Munson has a Master's Degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Graphic Design from Louisiana Tech University.
