Michael Hanks is a Data Scientist at Social Finance's Digital Labs team, focusing on user-centered data solutions to address social issues through collaborations with government and non-profit organizations. Prior to this role, Michael completed a PhD in Palaeoanthropology at University College London, where research centered on a numerical model of human evolution in Europe, involving intricate data analyses and contributions to peer-reviewed publications. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Business Analyst and Senior Relationship Manager at Capital One, where responsibilities encompassed managing key marketing partnerships and identifying business growth opportunities. Michael holds a Master's degree in Human Evolution and Behaviour from University College London and a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.
