Deirdre Shields

Deirdre Shields has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and roles. Deirdre started their career as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG Ireland in 1998 and then moved on to work as a Credit Policy & Strategy Manager at Bank of Ireland. After that, they joined APlan Corporate Finance as a Corporate Finance Manager. Later, they held several positions at ESB, including Manager, Financial Strategy, Manager, Investor Relations & Credit Rating, and Group Funding Manager - Treasury. In 2017, Deirdre worked as Vice President - Funding and Capital Markets at SMBC Aviation Capital. Deirdre then joined Kamma as a Financial Consultant and worked there until 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Head Of Finance at RHC Management Limited. Furthermore, Deirdre has also served as a Non-Executive Director at Social Finance Foundation since 2018 and at Savvi Credit Union since 2019.

Deirdre Shields obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended Ursuline College Sligo from 1989 to 1994. Deirdre also attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland from 1998 to 2002, without obtaining a specific degree or field of study.
