Edward L. Shapiro

Vice Chair at Social Finance

For nearly 20 years, Ed was a Managing Partner at PAR Capital Management, a Boston-based investment management firm. At the end of 2016, Ed retired from PAR in order to devote his attention to his family’s philanthropic activities and work on global refugee causes. Ed serves on the boards of RefugePoint and Social Finance, as well as the Finance Committees for Boston Children’s Hospital and The Rashi School. He co-chairs the Combined Jewish Philanthropies Mergers & Acquisitions Task Force. He also serves on the board of United Airlines.

Ed earned a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1986 and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management in 1990.
