Sophia Lin

Sophia Lin is currently a Clinical Nurse at Duke University Hospital since June 2024 and serves as a Biology Tutor for low-income, first-generation students through the LoyalTeach program. Previously, Sophia worked as a Medical Scribe at Santa Barbara Orthopedic Associates, documenting patient visits and generating physician orders. Experience as an Emergency Services Volunteer at Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital involved assisting medical staff and ensuring room readiness for new patients. In addition, work at Good Samaritan included coordinating support services for residents. Early research experience as a Student Research Assistant at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management involved compiling data and presenting findings. Sophia holds a degree in Biopsychology and Neuroscience from UC Santa Barbara and is completing studies at Duke University School of Nursing.
