Sam Bubnovich assists Social Impact Capital in financial modeling related to fund performance and due diligence, as well as assisting in scientific due diligence for the fund’s investments.
He has a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, with a focus on applied stochastic differential equations to model chemical reaction kinetics.
Formerly, he was a data scientist at LMI Government Consulting, where he worked designing large-scale machine learning models in support of Department of Defense logistics systems. His Master’s thesis was on numerical estimation of implied higher moments in index option price data. He holds degrees in applied mathematics and chemical physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
