Alastair Davis OBE serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for Aberlour Children's Charity since January 2025. In addition, Alastair has held the position of Chief Executive and Investment Director at Social Investment Scotland since May 2009. Alastair is also a Director at SIS Ventures since June 2018, an Investment Committee Member for the Access Foundation since July 2022, and a member of the Advisory Board for Scottish Edge since July 2015. Previous roles include Trustee of the Scottish Children's Lottery from January 2019 to December 2021, Non-executive Director at North East Social Investment Company (NESIC) from February 2014 to December 2021, Non-executive Director at Responsible Finance from March 2015 to December 2017, and Aftercare Adviser at Youth Business Scotland from June 2010 to June 2015. Alastair also served as Director of Social Enterprise Scotland from March 2010 to March 2013. Alastair holds a BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management and Economics from the University of Strathclyde and has completed education at Harvard Business School.

Social Investment Scotland (SIS) is a charity and social enterprise that provides loans to other charities, social enterprises and community groups across Scotland. We provide investment for other charities and social enterprises looking to make a positive impact on people's lives, society or the environment. Our mission is simple. We aim to make a lasting, sustainable impact on communities, by helping organisations continue doing the great work they do or expand on that work. Since 2001 we've invested over £130 million in organisations across Scotland, and we continue to manage the largest social enterprise fund in the country.
