Tiera Sedden M.A. is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Vice Principal at Ingenuity Prep since July 2022. Previous roles include Early Literacy Specialist at the Children's Literacy Initiative from December 2019 to July 2022, Founding 4th Grade Teacher and Grade Team Lead at Deep Roots Charter School from August 2018 to December 2019, and 5th Grade Teacher at Harambee Institute of Science and Technology Charter School from September 2017 to August 2018. Tiera also worked as a Literacy Intervention Teacher at Mastery Charter Schools from August 2015 to July 2017, providing small group instruction in literacy and social studies and science for 2nd grade. Early career experience includes serving as an Employment Trainer and Youth Counselor at Communities and Schools Philadelphia: Freedom Schools from July 2007 to July 2012. Tiera holds a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Virginia Union University, with ongoing studies in Educational Leadership and Administration at Liberty University.

Social Justice School is a revolutionary middle school located in the Ward 5 neighborhood of Washington, DC. Our mission is to catalyze an integrated community of middle school learners to be scholar-activists who are designers of a more just world. To design a more just society, our students engage in an explorative learning educational model that embraces and lives out a set of core beliefs about what it means to be human.
