Daniel Schwartz

Daniel Schwartz has a strong background in finance and accounting, with over 30 years of experience in various roles. Daniel started their career as the Director of Accounting Services at GCFA, The United Methodist Church, overseeing daily activities such as receivables, payables, and bank reconciliations. Daniel then transitioned to VP Finance & Administration at STRATEGIC RADIO RESEARCH, where they were responsible for budgeting, accounting, payroll, and cash management. After that, they worked as VP/Controller at RMI Network Services, handling financial strategy for a network infrastructure company. Daniel later served as Accounting Manager at ATI Food & Beverage, responsible for general ledger management and tax reporting. Daniel then worked at Microtec Media as a Controller, handling various financial functions until the company closed. Continuing their career, they joined Creative City Collaborative, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer, and Co-Executive Director - CFO. In these roles, they managed accounting, banking, and operational aspects of a non-profit organization. After leaving Creative City Collaborative, they joined WomenCertified | Women's Choice Award as a Financial Controller, overseeing all financial aspects of the licensing business. Most recently, they worked at Official ASM Global as a Senior Accounting Manager, responsible for accounting and treasury operations at BCCC and leading a staff of 3. Daniel is currently working as a Financial Controller at Social Mobile, a start-up Google Android device manufacturer. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of accounting and demonstrates expertise in GAAP, revenue recognition, and internal controls.

Daniel Schwartz attended New Trier High School West from 1976 to 1980, where they studied Finance, General. After completing high school, they went on to Northern Illinois University from 1983 to 1985, majoring in Finance and earning a Bachelor of Science degree.
