Marin Gemmill, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Starting in 2004, Marin worked at the London School of Economics and Political Science as a Research Officer and Teacher. From 2009 to 2010, Marin served as a Senior Research Analyst at CVS Caremark. In 2010, Marin joined the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as a Health Insurance Specialist and later became the Deputy Director of the Analytics Lab Division. In 2014, Marin took on the role of Director of the Division of Outcomes Measurement at CMS. Marin's most recent positions include Senior Advisor and Director of the Division of Analytics and Operations at the Social Security Administration, with appointments in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Throughout Marin's career, they have demonstrated expertise in analytics, operations, and outcomes measurement in the healthcare and social security sectors.
Marin Gemmill, PhD, earned their Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Delaware in 2002. Marin then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Economics from the same university, which they completed in 2003. Following this, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and obtained a Master's degree in International Health Policy in 2004. Marin subsequently earned their PhD in Health Economics and Policy from LSE in 2008.
