Susanna Nemes

Dr. Nemes is an accomplished executive, researcher, and clinician with 30 years of experience working with underserved populations. She founded Social Solutions to improve the health and well-being of underserved populations and to create a model for women-owned businesses that supports flexibility while maintaining superior standards of quality and efficiency. She has developed and implemented tailored solutions for more than 100 clients in more than 80 countries.

Dr. Nemes served as Principal Investigator or Corporate Monitor on more than 100 federally funded projects, both domestically and internationally, for USAID, the Department of State, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Defense. She has led projects addressing a broad range of public health and mental health topics, including but not limited to: substance abuse treatment and prevention, women’s health, violence and sexual assault prevention, and STD prevention for pregnant women and African American youth.

Dr. Nemes has served on the board of directors for multiple foundations and nonprofit organizations. She served as President of the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and President of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Harvard University and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Temple University. She is bilingual and bicultural, having been raised in Puerto Rico.
