Jun Deng

Jun is a strategist with experience from seed to growth in Life Sciences and Healthcare. At Social Starts, Jun played a key role in establishing healthcare investment strategies and has led over forty investments, including two exits: Volumetric Bio (acquired by 3D System) and Osmosis (acquired by Reed/Elsevier). She served board roles at Nymbl Science, BioEclipse Therapeutics, and Pop Up Health. Jun was a venture mentor at Singularity University and is currently a mentor at Endless Frontier Labs, an NYU-associated accelerator program. She is a strategic investor at HealthTech Capital. Prior to her VC career, Jun has over seven years of scientific research experience. Jun holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Physiology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is also an Investment Partner at Joyance Partners.
