Gemma Waters has worked in various roles since 2013. Gemma began as a Customer Care Agent for Thompson and Morgan, where they answered incoming calls and worked as part of a team to provide customers with the best possible care. In 2015, they became a Team Leader for NCS - National Citizen Service Trust, where they worked as part of a team to deliver a government funded, social development programme to approximately 100 participants. From 2017 to 2019, they held various roles at urbanbubble, including Community Manager, Interim Community Manager, and Front of House. In 2021, they worked as a Freelance Business Support Specialist for Hyphen Business Solutions Limited. Currently, they are working as a Customer Success Support Manager and Social Value Advisor for Social Value Portal, as well as a Database Manager for Farmers Guide.

Gemma Waters attended Newcastle University from 2014 to 2017, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Marine Sciences.
