Joel Steller

Joel is a Consultant with Social Ventures Australia. He brings a range of experience in community engagement and community development across the for-purpose and commercial sectors. Before joining SVA, Joel worked with Vinnies NSW, planning and coordinating place-based and collective impact projects. This ranged from working with inner-city communities and people experiencing homelessness to promoting social inclusion, to resilience building in bushfire-affected regions.

He began his career as a consultant with GHD, planning and managing community engagement programs across large-scale infrastructure projects. During this time, he was privileged to work with the Dharug community to support the facilitation of a land transfer from the State Government back to the Traditional Custodians.
